I know I sound like a broken record, but not bought online store, many of us have had a bad experience with them with a bad design, poor construction and poor materials. A store has one, but it has one size fits all, which leads me to believe that it’s not really velvet. Your best bet for a good combination would be costumes, Fets-Fash, or a store close. If you get one, let us know how it is, I am also interested in getting one!
I have a velvet zentai line which is really nice – I wonder if a full suit, like you, then would not be able to feel the texture of velvet covered with your hands … In what looks good to go, they look cool! Well, we had our first velvet coat a few months ago, and I really liked the way the light plays with it. I have no doubt prefer and in other colors than black, just looks cool.
I own a turquoise blue velvet custom unit of them, with pointed sleeves (with finger loops) and full-feet, with a turtleneck. I did not ask at the time for a hood, but they were very nice and very tolerant of the sizing info. A great store and worth it for dancewear well. I intend to use the combination of a number of things. Photography, halloween, joker, the works. Not sure this really changes anything, but I thought I would throw this out there. Oh, and I notice that the pile is only one size.
I have a gray “velvet” and a black cotton / spandex zentai both online store. Specialist is correct but it is actually a heavier material hosiery, more like tights than tights. (He does not suffer from the tendency to develop running tights if you look at it.) As for the comment from the TSA, I have owned my black zentai for eight years. So I had damn few holes in the fingers, I would not say it is terrible quality. Unfortunately cotton / spandex blends just do not take both the “pressure points” as well as nylon / spandex blends will. Especially if you have nails long enough.
I also velvet tog Bal unitary zentai not as I had no hood or hands. It does not stretch as much as nylon / Lycra and wound up having to buy more than my normal size. But I agree, it’s a great feeling to be addressed in this tissue. In fact, one reason most of my outfits do not have hands that I really enjoy the texture of my costumes. I bought one of the bright Lycra costumes metal from another supplier and it is all very nice, the tactile sensation was not there. The velvet is sure of a dust magnet. As far as getting stuck, what happened to me once in a lycra suit and I had to wait until the end (oh damn) a couple of hours until my wife came and fought with zip until we got out safely (discovery is not a question does, she knows my taste). Worst part of this episode is that I mixed my bladder and finally had to stand in the shower, a bottle in one hand, and pulled the fabric tight and had to pee through the fabric.
